Le concert de charité en faveur de la Croix Rouge du New Jersey a lancé le troisième volet de la tournée acoustique Devils & Dust cette nuit à Asbury Park. Springsteen a donné l'impression de reprendre cette tournée là où il l'avait laissée le 13 août dernier. Fidèle à ses bonnes habitudes, il a introduit de nombreuses nouveautés dans son récital. Idiot's Delight fut de celles-ci, jouée en ouverture, une première mondiale pour cette chanson co-écrite avec Joe Grushecky. Lors des rappels, il a joué I Wanna Marry You pour la première fois depuis la tournée The River. Ce fut aussi le premier concert durant lequel The hitter ne fut pas à l'affiche.
