Soundcheck Drive all night (piano) / Fade away (on pump organ) / Loose ends / Seven angels / TV movie Pour ce premier concert à Philadelphie, Springsteen a ouvert son récital avec Born in the U.S.A., une "Tour-Premiere" jouée à la manière de Reason to believe. Difficile maintenant de ne plus comprendre le sens des paroles de cette chanson si souvent mal interprétée par certains fans... Autre surprise pour les spectateurs de Philly, une seconde Tour-Premiere avec Drive all night, qui n'avait plus été jouée en concert depuis le leg européen du River Tour (7 juin 1981) ! Ce fut un "special for Philadelphia", tout empreint d'émotion qui tint l'assistance en haleine. Quoique jouées beaucoup plus récemment, le public salua les retours de The Ties That Bind, Fade Away et de son B-side Be true.
